After months of working activities, strikes of QA developers, trade union education and growing frustration towards the company, Activision has announced to give QA testers in all studios full-time jobs.
On Thursday, all the "US-based fixed and conditional QA team members" are given "at Activision Publishing and Blizzard from 1 July 2022 in" permanent full-time "stations. The hourly wage will also rise to $ 20 per hour April 17, 2022.
This results in a total of around 1,100 people, which will fully activities of Activision, receive additional benefits and access to the company's bonus (which they were previously excluded). This change includes QA testers of Warzone, loudly highlighted and actively highlighting the problems associated with dealing with employees, including frequent layoffs and poor treatment of employees. One of the 1,100 employees do not include all QA testers at Activision as after Jason Schreier some were already full-time employees elsewhere in the company.
This is a positive progress for the company and hopefully for its employees, as Activision leads several complaints due to unhealthy and toxic work environments. It raises the question of how effectively the employees of Raven will be able to organize a union and drive their efforts for these changes.
New: Activision Blizzard has just informed the employees that all its 1,100 quality assurance testers 1) are transformed by a contract in a full-time interface and 2) are increased to at least $ 20 per hour. A big gain for QA in the wake of several workers' revolts and a sophisticated trade union effort. History soon

These steps will ideally enable Activision to stop the bleeding of talents and to be in a more stable situation until mid-2023 when the acquisition of the company will be completed by Microsoft.
